WAAAAHHHHH! I miss Jim!!! I may have to become a C-bs fan just so I can see him when he comes to town with the Dodgers.

Wow, Carl, that one made me laugh and cry at the same time!

I miss Jim Thome more than I thought I would ... I wish him all the best, including a WS ring in 2009. I hope he helps the Dodgers win the championship; I hope they beat the Yankees; and I hope Nick Swisher strikes out every single time he bats in the post-season.

(Note to self: work on being a better person!)

That almost made me cry, Carl.

I didn't realize it until Kenny traded him, but Jim was my favorite player. I'm really gonna miss him.

Thome's likeness is perfect.
Great and subtle drawing.

I was in Cleveland during Thome's hayday, and I saw a lot of him in Cleveland, Detroit, and of course Chicago. I tried to estimate this...I have seen about 55 of his home runs in person and probably 150 on TV and I have heard even more on the radio. He's a pinch hitter now, I wish him the best even though Mitch Williams says he can't do it. Oh yeah...I saw Jim hit several HRs in Toledo...he played for Charlotte.

October 2, 3, and 4 the Rockies and Dodgers play the last three regular season games against each other. Contreras might be good for Gentle Jim's stats by then. "Something" to look forward to.
